2. Joyful: When we, an instrument of God willing to become God's instrument
A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse;
from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
2 The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—
the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and of might,
the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—
3 and he will delight in the fear of the Lord.

My Listening
The topic I received from Jesus is: "An Instrument becomes the user! "
Today's message is both painful and joyful, how so?
1. Painful : When we, an instrument of God become the user
How could that happen, but that's how we sin against God and His people. Read how today's Isaiah tell us, Isaiah 10: 12, 15-17:
12 When the Lord has finished all his work against Mount Zion and Jerusalem, he will say, “I will punish the king of Assyria for the willful pride of his heart and the haughty look in his eyes.

Does the ax raise itself above the person who swings it,
or the saw boast against the one who uses it?
As if a rod were to wield the person who lifts it up,
or a club brandish the one who is not wood!
16 Therefore, the Lord, the Lord Almighty,
will send a wasting disease upon his sturdy warriors;
under his pomp a fire will be kindled
like a blazing flame.
17 The Light of Israel will become a fire,
their Holy One a flame;
in a single day it will burn and consume
his thorns and his briers.

God used Assyria to punish His own people, but when the king of Assyria thought that he was top of the world and could do anything. God really removed him to send one angel to destroy almost all his army when the Israelites cried out for God's help. Please read what happened to the one day destroy all miracle according to Isaiah 37:36-38.

That's how Isaiah prophesied the Good News when the Messiah came and for those who received the Messiah and follow the Messiah. Please read Isaiah 11:1-3a, 6-10
from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.

9 They will neither harm nor destroy
on all my holy mountain,

May you be able and willing to be in His resting place to enjoy His glorious presence daily! When and where do you think you can find this resting place each day?
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be willing to be your instrument glorifying your mighty Name each day . In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
