Nicky Gumbel's Bible in one year today:
Silence
1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
3. Sing a song to praise God (you are welcome to use "Father, I adore you" which I have been singing every morning for the past 20 years or your own choice to praise God)
Father, I adore You, lay my life before You, how I love You.
Jesus, I adore You, lay my life before You, how I love You.
Spirit, I adore You, lay my life before You, how I love You.
Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method)
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sins to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gifts to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
Today's Psalm 69:13-18 and 1 Samuel 17:45-49 lead me to think of Psalm 23:
1. The Lord is my shepherd and He loves us and care for us as shepherd to his sheep. Psalm 69:13-18 describes this shepherd will "answer me; rescue me; deliver me; answer me; turn to me; answer me quickly; come near me; rescue me; deliver me." Wow! Is this Shepherd wonderful!
2. The Lord is my shepherd, when we face the attack like Goliath, 1 Samuel 17:45-49 tells us that He will raise up little shepherd David, no need to wear armour or helmet but only five small pieces of stone and Goliath died with just one hit!
Now, as the whole world is facing the "Goliath COVID-19" and all kinds of threats, could you count all those blessings of God's caring and saving so that you can be raised up by our Good Shepherd and be willing to use by Him to take up your five small pieces of stone to destroy "Goliath COVID-19" with one hit!
Do you know where your five small pieces of stone are? Do you know what is it?
Pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal to you!
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sins to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gifts to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

"Heavenly Father, I pray that this day I may live in your presence and please you more and more.
Lord Jesus, I pray that this day I may take up my cross and follow you.
Holy Spirit, I pray that this day you will fill me with yourself and cause your fruit to ripen in my life: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."
The Word, Time with Abba (Psalm 69:13-18, 1 Samuel 17:1-18:4;John 8:21-30; Proverbs 15:11)
Today's key passage:
45 David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. 47 All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”48 As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him. 49 Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground.1 Samuel 17:45-49

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to Him.
My Listening
The topic I received today from Jesus is: God gives victory! Pick up your five pieces of stones!

Do you know where your five small pieces of stone are? Do you know what is it?
Pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal to you!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for your caring, mercy and salvation. Raise us up and use us that we are willing to use our five pieces of small stone to destroy "Goliath COVID-19" and other Goliath with one hit. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen. Reflect on these questions:
1. What inspiration have you received from today's catch and what have you heard from Jesus now?
2. What is your next step to be more closer to Jesus?
