2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
3.   Open your heart to praise the Lord

         Praise the Lord!
        Praise the Lord from the heavens;
           praise him in the heights!
        Praise him, all his angels;
             praise him, all his hosts!
                    Psalm 148:1-2

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:

     “Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

     "Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

The Word (1 Samuel 10:9-10)

When he turned his back to leave Samuel, God gave him another heart. And all these signs came to pass that day. 10 When they came to Gibeah, behold, a group of prophets met him, and the Spirit of God rushed upon him, and he prophesied among them.  1   Samuel 10: 9-10

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

          Yesterday I shared with you a sharing wrote by Rev. Vanessa Roth showing vividly how God used the prophetic gift of Pastor Ignatius and me to support Vanessa of her future ministry in Urban Abbey, Thunder Bay.

          Today I would like to share with you how God used the prophetic gift of Rev. Joshua Siu, our English Pastor to give encouragement to a church in Vancouver just five days ago. Here is what Josh wrote:

    This past Saturday, I attended an InterVarsity conference. The morning session was held at First Christian Reformed Church of Vancouver, near Commercial and Broadway. When I first went in I was kind of judge-y, crinkling my nose and the smell and look of the place. But God convicted my heart right away and called me to pray for and bless this house that was dedicated his worship.
So, I was praying during our opening time of singing and got a picture. It was a picture for the church from the book of Joshua, when God's people had crossed the Jordan river and had gotten twelve stones to erect an altar, a monument, in memory of the event, so that when their children and grandchildren saw it, they would tell the story of what God had done. And then I got a second picture from Joshua 22, when the tribes from the eastern shore of the Jordan River raised up an altar near the river, and it led to miscommunication with the other tribes but also a chance to tell their story of being faithful to God.
I had the sense that I needed to tell these pictures to the pastor of the church, so I approached her and shared them with her. I felt like God was saying that this church, which has 90 years of history had many stories that were worth telling, but also that they were being given the opportunity to raise up a new monument that might lead to misunderstanding at first, but then also an opportunity to speak the story of faithfulness to God.
Now here's the CRAZY THING THAT CAN'T BE A COINCIDENCE that she told me. One week earlier, in their worship service, they had raised up a tower of stones--an ebenezer (stone of help, from 1 Samuel)--in their sanctuary. I had no clue that was the case, but God did, and gave me a vision that confirmed for their pastor, that God was with them in the path they were journeying!!!
I received an email from the pastor Sunday night, sharing with me how she and her husband, who is also a pastor at their church, were thankful that the Holy Spirit had used me to speak a message of clarity and comfort to them. There had been some people who had indeed been confused the previous week when they set up the Ebenezer, and so on Sunday the pastors had a chance to share both the vision as well as the reason they had set it up, inviting members of their church to see more clearly what God was doing in and through their community.
Can you believe all of that? This is our God, that we worship and serve. There are no coincidences with him. And when we choose to follow him and be faithful to his call, we see more and more of how he does work and move all around us and in our own lives as well. It is up to us to be willing to cross those boundaries within our own hearts, as well as with strangers, that we might ultimately bring glory to God!

Well, Samuel demonstrated this kind of prophetic gift and so as Saul. The important point is that it was not a past tense. It has been happening to all kinds of God's servants. God uses the prophetic gift of Josh, Iggy and me to help His servants, to strengthen and encourage them, telling them that God is so real and He is a great God! Praise the Lord!

Dear Lord Jesus,
    Help us to believe and experience your great power through your anointing upon Your servants to strength Your own people.  In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Reflect on these questions:
    1. What have you seen in Rev. Josh's testimony?

2. What are the steps for you to become a different person?

    3. What have you got from Jesus today?
