OT DAY 528 - Follow God's Strategy, Sure Win! (Please click here for English podcast)

Silence

1.   Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence

2.   Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.

Praise and Thanksgiving

1.   Think through your day, all the times that made you smile

2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people

3.   Open your heart to praise the Lord

       Incline your ear to me;
           rescue me speedily!
         Be a rock of refuge for me,
           a strong fortress to save me!

         For you are my rock and my fortress;

           and for your name's sake you lead me and guide me;

                                     Psalm 31:2-3

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:

     “Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

     "Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

21 When all the Moabites heard that the kings had come up to fight against them, all who were able to put on armor, from the youngest to the oldest, were called out and were drawn up at the border. 22 And when they rose early in the morning and the sun shone on the water, the Moabites saw the water opposite them as red as blood. 23 And they said, “This is blood; the kings have surely fought together and struck one another down. Now then, Moab, to the spoil!” 24 But when they came to the camp of Israel, the Israelites rose and struck the Moabites, till they fled before them. And they went forward, striking the Moabites as they went. 25 And they overthrew the cities, and on every good piece of land every man threw a stone until it was covered. They stopped every spring of water and felled all the good trees, till only its stones were left in Kir-hareseth, and the slingers surrounded and attacked it.          2 Kings 3:21-25

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

    My Listening

           There are four steps for you to have a sure win if you are under severe attack by the devil or enemy:

    1. When you know who is the one God sends to help you.

    2. When you allow God to use His servant to deliver His plan to you. 

    2. When you follow completely and courageously what God's servant tells you.

    That's how the three kings had a sure win in a sure loss warfare!

    

    The sad thing is that most people do not believe in any of those three steps and they use their human wisdom and strategy to fight a war they would have a sure loss.

    How about you? 

    Dear Lord Jesus,
    Help us to know how to go through those three steps so that we can experience your great power.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Reflect on these questions:

    1. Do you think these three steps work? Why?

2. How can you live out these three steps the next time you face with a big trouble?

    3. What have you got from Jesus today?
