Silence
1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

Today's message seems the fourth part of a message Jesus wants you to receive:
August 23 - "If you make God your Home, then you will ... "
So, if you make God your Home(dwelling) according to Psalm 91:9, then you will receive all those promises in Psalm 91: 10-16! Wow!
9. If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
Yes, "With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation. "!
My Listening
The topic I received from Jesus is: "If you make God your Home, then you will ... "
Today's message seems the fourth part of a message Jesus wants you to receive:
August 20 - "God is my Home! Sorrow to joy, danger to secure!"
August 21 - "Who could make you homeless, always crave for more?"
August 22 - "God examines you every morning to see whether He is your shield and rampart! "
August 23 - "If you make God your Home, then you will ... "
So, if you make God your Home(dwelling) according to Psalm 91:9, then you will receive all those promises in Psalm 91: 10-16! Wow!
Listen to this:
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
and show him my salvation. "!
Jesus is your Saviour, and this is what salvation is like.
Are you satisfied?
So, are you going to make God your Home? How is that look like? What kind of lifestyle you need to change in order to make God your Home?
Are you satisfied?
So, are you going to make God your Home? How is that look like? What kind of lifestyle you need to change in order to make God your Home?
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for being our Home! Help us to take concrete action to make you our Home. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. Have you received all those promises if you make God your Home?
2. What is your next step to make that happen tomorrow and not next week, not next month, not next year?
3. What have you received from Jesus today?
Praise and Thanksgiving
