Silence
1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

My Listening
The topic I received from Jesus is: "God is my Home! Sorrow to joy, danger to secure! "
When I started to have Time with Abba this morning and copied the first line of Psalm 90:1, I nearly jumped up! Why? Because the Holy Spirit opened my eyes to see what I have not seen before about Psalm 90:1! Amazing!
We have been reading about how God's Temple, the Sanctuary is the dwelling place of God. But, have you thought of that God is the dwelling place of you and me? God is our home, and leaving God, we are homeless!
Let me read what the main verses I received this morning and also what I put down on the right hand side of my journal about those verses:
1. God is your Home - Psalm 90:1
God has been our home throughout generations, leaving God we are homeless!
2. You leave God, your are homeless - Psalm 90:7-10
But, we leave our eternal home and become consumers of all kinds of worldly things rather than being satisfied by things at home, things prepared by God. Then we would be consumed by God's anger. The best of our days would be only trouble and sorrow. All our days pass away under God's wrath and we finish our days fast, quickly pass with a moan and then we fly away, die!
3. You come back Home, Sorrow to joy, danger to secure - Esther 9:20-22
If you come back to God, your Home, then what describes in today's Esther of how all the Jews could be completely destroyed turned to be the bad guy, Haman and his wicked family being destroyed! Sorrow to joy, danger to secure!
4. Key to come back Home: Fasting and mourning for your sins - Esther 9:31
We need to learn from how Esther led all Jews to fast and repent. When we fast and pray, we have a better chance to discern what is happening spiritually and we have a better chance to know our sins and be willing to confess, repent and change accordingly.
5. How do you know you are Home? 1 Corinthians 12: 27, 31-13:7
If you are being filled with the Holy Spirit and the fruit of that is to receive the greatest gift of the Holy Spirit and that is LOVE! You know that you are home if you live out LOVE to build up the body of Christ and not to split or even destroy the body of Christ, that is your home, your church, your market place ...
Most weddings choose to read or even preach on 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7. But, it can't be done! Husbands and wives can not live out that four verses!
Only if we are Home, Jesus is our Lord leading us, we are being filled with the Holy Spirit daily and it will be so natural to live that four verses through our Christlike lives!
May the Lord bless you that you are Home and not homeless!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to you each day that we are at Home and that we experience joy and security daily. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. Do you understand how important it is for you to be in God, to be at Home each day? Are you at Home each day?
2. What is your next step to secure your place at Home? What is your next step to help those Jesus prepares for you to help to be at Home?
3. What have you received from Jesus today?
Praise and Thanksgiving
