How can we receive that?
The answer is in today's 2 Corinthians 4:4-10:
4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.
Reflect on these questions:
My Listening
The topic I received from Jesus is: "How can you have the light of Christ in you?"
Listen carefully, it is not your light, it is Jesus light in you!
How can we receive that?
The answer is in today's 2 Corinthians 4:4-10:
4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.
7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
How are we willing to die each day to those things Jesus wants us to die so that people may have life is the key to receive the light of Christ in us.
Actually it is somewhat like we go to Hawaii for a week's swimming and we'll get lots of suntan and when we go home, people may ask, "Wow! Where did you go to get that suntan?" What do you say?
Well, for those who are willing to die that the dying would help us to draw more closer and closer to Jesus and His light will shine on us and our face can reflect His light in us and through us!
Let us not let the god of this age to blind our minds so that we can see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ! And that we can have the light of Christ in our faces, do you believe that can happen in you?
