All the Israelite men and women who were willing brought to the Lord freewill offerings for all the work the Lord through Moses had commanded them to do. Exodus 35: 29
Then Moses gave an order and they sent this word throughout the camp: "No man or woman is to make anything else as an offering for the sanctuary." And so the people were restrained from bringing more, because what they already had was more than enough to do all the work. Exodus 36: 6-7
What I got from Jesus today is: The power of freewill offerings!
This chapter is not even talking about tithing because all Israelite knew and offered their tithing with no question. Here is more than tithing, it was their free will offerings because Moses called them to offer what they were willing to offer to build the Tabernacle. In just a short time they created a momentum of offerings and it was enough. Moses said, "Stop! Stop! We have enough, thank you!"
Yesterday, Richmond Emmanuel launched "Little Drops of Water Campaign" praying and hoping that we create a momentum of offerings that will solve our problem of deficit due to the poor economy and many other reasons. I do hope that more and more people will be encouraged by this campaign knowing that momentum can only be created if all people participate.
Please pray for this "Little Drops of Water Campaign" that staring from yesterday we, Richmond Emmanuel Church, will never have a deficit problem!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to understand and experience the power of freewill offerings and that your Name will be glorified. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
