Silence
1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

My Listening
The message I got today from our Lord Jesus Christ is: "從欺壓人變成服侍人"
Do you know you might be an "oppressor"?
What? I am an "oppressor"?
Well, that's how the bloody scene came in today's 2 Samuel 2:14-17 and 3:33-39 of how those generals killing each other, first for fund then for revenge!
That's how today's Psalm 72:1-7 reminding a king never to become an oppressor and to have God created mountains and hills to bring prosperity to the people and the fruit of righteousness but not a "killing field" like what it happened in today's 2 Samuel.
Jesus demonstrated to his apostles of being a leader needs to put down the mindset of "I am greater" and to misuse their gifts to become power struggles over other people!
Yet, authority and power 權勢 always pull a good leader, a good pastor to become an oppressor or even a wicked "devil"!
Let's humble ourselves to be willing to wash others feet and to be willing for other people to serve us washing our feet so that we can encourage each other, to serve each other with true love and to be peacemakers!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us not to become oppressors but encouragers and peacemakers. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. Do you think sometimes you act as an oppressor?
2. How can you remove that character from your soul?
3. What have you received from Jesus today?
