Silence
1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

My Listening
The message I got today from our Lord Jesus Christ is: "交託就是委身"
Wow! Today I received a very, very important message. Why? Because when I read today's Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whatever you do". In Chinese version, "commit" is being translated as "rely on". My catch is that we always say we want to rely, to give everything, every burden to the Lord and He will carry all of those we can't carry. But, today I got a new paradigm. In order for the Lord to carry all our burdens we need first to have our commitment to the Lord and the work He prepares for us to do. Without commitment, it is impossible for us to have the Lord to carry our burdens because we have already left Him! To give Jesus all your burdens you need a close distance and relationship for Him to do that, just like you give someone a heavy load of something, right?
Then, as you can see in what I wrote in my journal today, page 1:
"When did David stopped hearing God's voice and direction? What is the consequence of that?"
David stopped to hear God's voice and needed Nathan to deliver God's voice starts from the beginning of 2 Samuel 7 when God made him rest, famous and victory. The consequence is how David fell into the dark black hole of Satan step by step until he and his family was being nearly totally destroyed!
So, what can we do to avoid what David committed? The answer is in today's John 15, we need to remain, remain, remain, remain, remain...in the Lord and not leave the Lord because apart from the Lord we can do nothing.
And, we need the Holy Spirit to lead us to remain in Jesus! There is no other way, sorry!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to remain in you each day that we can avoid what happened to David happen to us. Come, Holy Spirit, come and fill us so that we are willing and be able to remain in the Lord and be willing to make our commitment to the Lord. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. What new insight have you got from today's title "To rely on God is actually commitment"?
2. How are you able to make more commitment in order that the Lord will carry all your burdens?
3. What have you received from Jesus today?
2. How are you able to make more commitment in order that the Lord will carry all your burdens?
3. What have you received from Jesus today?
