Silence
40 Days Break.Build daily devotion:
Silence
1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

My Listening
The message I got today from our Lord Jesus Christ is: "When God allows disasters to happen, why? What should you do?"
Today we have one of the most asked question: Why God allows disasters to happen?
We have got some very simple answer from today's all four passages.
When God allows disasters to happen, especially to happen in our lives is for us to humble ourselves to know that we are not "lord", we are not "king" but we are just slaves of our Lord and King! I know that you do not like the term "slave", but today's Psalm 123: 2 uses this!
Well, the difference is, the "lord" and "king" of a slave is usually a cruel and mean "boss", but our Lord and King is a loving and caring Father.
Our sin is always wanting to be lord and king in our family, working environment, church and elsewhere. Just like what Absalom did trying to take the kingship away from his father David even to the point of killing his own father.
And, from last few days of TWA we know that David stopped to listen and obey to the point he could not listen to the voice of God or could listen but not willing to obey. That's how God allowed tragedy to happen in his life and family in order to humble him and to lead him to repent and to return to the Father's home!
We can see in today's 2 Samuel passage that David acknowledged his sins and how God allowed all those sufferings and crisis happened in order for hi9m ask for God's mercy, restoration and back into God's Kingdom and not David's own created kingdom! Not our own created kingdom!
Do you know why now? Do you know what you need to do when tragedy happened?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to understand today's message which is very difficult to understand. Help us to humble ourselves each day that we are willing to be your slaves, your humble servants to worship you each day as our Lord and King. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. What new insight have you got from today's title?
2. How are you able to be humble in the midst of sufferings and crisis?
3. What have you received from Jesus today?
2. How are you able to be humble in the midst of sufferings and crisis?
3. What have you received from Jesus today?
Praise and Thanksgiving
