DAY 145 (2018) - He is the Lord who alone does marvellous deeds. Do it in His Will, sure win! (Please click here for English podcast)

Silence

1.   Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2.   Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.

Praise and Thanksgiving

1.   Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:

“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

 My Listening
The message I got today from our Lord Jesus Christ is: "他是獨行奇事的主,照他的心意而行,一定得!"

Do you really think to do things in God's will is a sure win?

That's what I received today from all four passages.

Today's 2 Samuel passage tells us about how David wanted to build a temple for God and even Nathan told David that he should go. The good thing was that Nathan is that kind of true prophet who could listen well to God's voice and he was brave to deliver God's wisdom's instruction (same message as in Proverbs 15:33).

Another good thing is that David was willing to listen and proclaim God's sovereignty over his own kingship. And he proclaimed, "How great you are!"

The Bible says David became famous and victory wherever he went!

Today's John passage repeat that theme that whenever we glorify God in that way by following His Will, God will be glorified and we will be honoured.

Jesus is the way and the truth and the life, whoever follow Him will victory wherever he goes. The sad reality is that most people follow other way, our own way, my way, my rationale and fall into a lifeless blackhole, swallowed by anxiety and depression!

Wake up! Follow Jesus! He promise to us that "I will do it!" Do you believe that?

     Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to do things in Your Will so that we experience victory. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

      Reflect on these questions:
    1.  Do you really think to follow God's will is a sure win?

2.  How do you know you truly know that's His Will? If you know that it is His Will, are you really willing to follow His Will even though you need to make major sacrifices?

 3. What have you received from Jesus today?

    Praise and Thanksgiving
Let's give thanks for God with us. Let us praise Him:
