1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passages we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him.
My Listening
The topic I received today is: Close to your Gracious Lord, you can speak gracious words
Yesterday after Sunday service, a couple came up to me and asked for prayers. It was because after they listened to my sermon, they awared that they have not been able to speak gracious words to each others but the contrast, always hurting each others!
Actually today's 1 Peter 3:8-12 is a warning and reminder to every Christian that our witness is to be able to speak gracious words!
The most wonderful thing I experienced today through the passages of TWA is from Daniel 2:16-23. I come into an awareness that seeking gracious words is not what we usually think that we can say good things to other people. It is first to wait for God's words, then to be able to listen to God's words, then to have the courage of saying God's words!
So, if you want to say gracious words, you must be close to your gracious Lord as how close was Daniel to the Gracious Lord!
Dear Abba Father,
Help us to be close to you so that we can speak gracious words. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
