REC 100 Days Prayer Meeting Day 4 - Must learn to devote themselves to what is good, so that they will not live unproductive lives!

 

 

Silence

1.   Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence

2.   Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.

Praise and Thanksgiving

1.   Think through your day, all the times that made you smile

2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people

3.   Sing a song to praise God (you are welcome to use "Father, I adore you" which I have been singing every morning for the past 20 years or your own choice to praise God)

          Father, I adore You, lay my life before You, how I love You.

          Spirit, I adore You, lay my life before You, how I love You.

      

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method https://bishopsilas.blogspot.com/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:

     “Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

     "Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gifts to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. 4 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. 8 This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.

14 Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order to provide for urgent needs and not live unproductive lives.

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to him. 

   

     My Listening

    The topic I received from Jesus is:  Must learn to devote themselves to what is good, so that they will not live unproductive lives!

    In our last three days messages, Paul encouraged his two spiritual sons, Timothy and Titus to "preach the Word" as their first priority, and today in the last chapter of Titus, Paul tells us why it is so important to "preach the Word". It is because God's people must learn to devote themselves to what is good, so that we will not live unproductive lives!

    We, as God's servants should try all our best to help people to understand God's Word so that their lives can change to be more like Christ and that is what it means by doing good, because God is the true and only good! God is good!

    But we as human being are not able to do good because of our human sinfulness. We need to be filled with the Holy Spirit everyday so that the fruit of the Holy Spirit can be ripen in our lives and that we can serve God truly but not enslaved by our human desires, that is the real doing good!

   May we pray for our church on the 4th day of our 100 days Prayer Meeting now:

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help our church to raise up more disciples for you that we are not being enslaved by our human desires anymore but to serve you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
