Bible Study
On human perspective, when Jesus died it is a sign of complete failure. For Jesus as a complete God and a complete human, he felt the isolation between he and his heavenly father because of his taking away the sins of this world into himself.
On a spiritual, historical and theological perspective, it was a mission accomplished for Jesus!
When you follow Jesus to die, you may reach another "mission accomplished". You will be changed to be more like him and then wait for another opportunity of dying for him to have another "mission accomplished". There are lots of missions to be accomplished just as there are lots of things to be changed so that you can be more like Jesus day by day!
Do you have some kind of "mission accomplished" lately? Or, you don't have a mission to look forward to and not a mission to be accomplished?
Have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to God as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

What I heard from Jesus today is: Precious Cross!
What I heard from Jesus today is: Mission accomplished!
Jesus reminds me of when we do not want to change to be one step closer to him and one step to be more like him, we have quite some tasks pending and not accomplished!
We need to ask our Lord Jesus Christ today through our prayers so that we know how many tasks Jesus command us to do and to change and whether we have accomplished our missions.
It's not easy to say and live out "mission accomplished"!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be willing to change, to die and to be transformed so that we can experience mission accomplished. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
