While Jesus was being falsely accused and seemingly losing all his power, his disciples all fled away. Peter was the only one who wanted to see what is happening but could not get close. When people asked him if he knew Jesus, he denied three times.
How could that be? How could Jesus right-hand man did that to Jesus? If Peter could do that, do you think you can do that too, denying Jesus like that?
Peter denied Jesus because he did not have the courage to follow Jesus to die!
If your pastor is heavily attacked by some leaders in your church like what Jesus experienced, would you be able to stand up for him and protect him? Of, you would like Peter allow your pastor to be slaughtered by some Pharisees who like to judge, steal, kill and destroy?
Have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to God as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

What I heard from Jesus today is: Bankruptcy of Your Integrity!
I have seen too many cases of pastors being dragged to a situation to be accused and judged just like what Jesus experienced. Most leaders usually have that kind of spirit of timidity unable to stand up for their pastor and let him/her being falsely accused and killed! Usually there are only one to two leaders who stirred up those "ugly" slaughtering but most people including top leaders would just keep silence and step away in the name of not stirring up more disruptions! That is a total bankruptcy of our integrity if we really do that kind of shameful act!
So, today Jesus asks me to remind you that you need to stand up for his servants to protect your church from being destroyed by the Accuser just like that! If such time come, that will be your turn to show your integrity and your loyalty to our Lord Jesus Christ! Don't be so easily deceived and don't be controlled by the Spirit of timidity!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be a courageous leader to protect your servant and your church. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
