Bible Study
This passage is talking about Jesus cleansing of the temple because people were doing all kinds of business in the temple.
N.T. Wrights says, "It's a hint to what Jesus thinks of the Temple itself. Clearly, he regards it as corrupt, and under God's judgment. The trade, the market-place atmosphere, isn't what it was supposed to be there for."
How corrupted could your own church be? How corrupted could you be? Do you think your church need some cleansing? Do you think you need some cleansing? Don't forget to clean yourself as often as you can!
Have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to God as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

What I heard from Jesus today is: Clean yourself!
Sometimes it is difficult to differentiate whether some people are making money through their relationship in their church or Christians friends want to have business with them because of their good relationship. We need to be carful so that Jesus won't use his whip to drive us out of His church.
Remember, the House of God is for prayers and worship but not for doing business!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to understand that your church is for prayers and worship but not for doing business. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
