If you were one of Jesus disciples, would you believe that Jesus is dead? Is he really dead? How can the Messiah be killed and dead?
This chapter gives the fact to all people related to Jesus that he is really dead. Including those who saw how Jesus was crucified on the cross, how he was dead. How Joseph or Arimathea took Jesus body, prepared the body and put the corpse into the tomb. How Joseph rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb. Also, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses saw where Jesus' body was laid.
A very detail fact that Jesus is dead!
If you were one of Jesus' disciples, what would you think? How do you feel? How's your faith?
Have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to God as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

What I heard from Jesus today is: Jesus is dead!
I visited someone two days ago in San Francisco. We have not met for many years and he heard attentively from Michelle and me of how difficult it was for us when Michelle got leukemia. Then he said, "Well, it's good that Michelle is completely heal now. Because if she is dead then your reputation would be ruined!"
I was totally shocked at that moment! If the wife of a bishop died because of leukemia, it means the bishop must have something wrong that make his wife die so his reputation would be ruined. I think this is a good example to make the point I got today from Jesus. We as Christians are sometimes or lots of time living in a kind of theology of prosperity. When we believe in Jesus then we'll get everything in the world and nothing bad would come to us. If something bad comes to us then we must have some kind of problem or even sin.
Jesus is dead! Our loved one may die but it won't change our relationship with Jesus. He is our Lord! Jesus is Lord!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to accept the reality that we are only human beings and we have all kinds of limitation. Lead us to get through our limitation to experience your eternal salvation. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
