Bible Study

Yesterday we talked about the two year's old's grandfather said it is not time yet for him to believe in Jesus. Today's message is about time will have run out. Is that a co-incidence? Or, I need to grasp the chance to use all kinds of method to persuade Mr. Lam to receive Jesus as His Saviour and Lord of life?

Let's take a look at what Bishop N.T. Wright says (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N._T._Wright ) :
The gift of the little scroll, and the vocation to turn its words into prophecy which will bring God's purposes into reality, all takes place as we are waiting with bated breath for the seventh trumpet to sound.  Yes, says the angel, it is coming soon, and when it comes it will complete 'God's mystery' (verse 7).  There will be no more time (verse 6), 'time will have run out' for all those who are presuming on God's patience.

N.T. Wright. Revelation for Everyone. Louisville,KY: Westminster John Knox Press, 2011, p.95.

Non-believers like to say it is not yet time for them to receive Jesus, may be after they retire, may be later … But, time will have run out? No more time! We may have excuses that it's not time yet to change our lifestyle or to stop sinning. But, time will have run out? No more time!

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe":  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmax47l2hLU

Spiritual Journal

The title I heard from Jesus today is: Time will have run out

What I got from Jesus today is an urge for us to grasp the golden opportunity to invite more people in His Kingdom and that Jesus can be their Lord.

What if there is no time? Can you work harder and more self-motivated to lead more people to Jesus? And just as verses 9 to 11 says, we need to "eat the scroll", know the Bible, the Word of God more and that we need to say what God wants us to say even we do not want to say it, it is sour and bitter and they don't want to listen to that message. Yet, you need to say it! How about that?

Please continue to pray for Mr. Lam. Pray for me to grasp this clear message from yesterday and today that I have to go to visit him in these few days time to lead him to receive Jesus. Pray before I go!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to understand that time is running out and that we need to grasp the opportunity to say whatever you want us to say, even those prophecy is so difficult to say it out. Help us Lord.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
