Bible Study

     Yesterday we talked about we are in danger because Satan is going to try his best to get us. In today's passage, John gives us a clear picture of what has happened in heaven and on earth. Satan and his angels were defeated and being hurled to the earth. Jesus has his victory but then Satan turns his focus to chase us, faithful disciples of Christ.  

Let's take a look at what Bishop N.T. Wright says (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N._T._Wright ) :

    
     The woman escapes; and the dragon, angry, turns his attention elsewhere - precisely to the woman's 'children', further defined as 'those who keep God's commands and the testimony of Jesus'.  In other words, once again, you too are part of this drama.  Don't be surprised that the dragon is out to get you, with more of his foul but powerful accusations, spat out like a flood.  Trust that the God of creation will look after you.

      Don't be afraid! Rejoice! You heavens and you who dwell in them! For the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down! In Jesus we will prevail!

Spiritual Journal

    The title I heard from Jesus today is: Mission accomplished! Mr. Lam received Jesus! Rejoice!

    We, a group of just a few faithful disciples of Christ witnessed how powerful the saving power of Christ is. Thanks to all of you of your prayers! A miracle happened that suddenly we grasped an open door in Mr. Lam's soul and he listened attentively for an hour, yesterday around 10p.m.. And, we laid hands on him to receive Jesus as His Saviour and Lord of life. 

    The accuser has been defeated and Mr. Lam was being saved! Praise the Lord! 

     You can see his face with joy and light of Christ! And, he received Christ two hours before my 60th birthday that is today, August 15. What a wonderful birthday present!
    

Dear Lord Jesus,
You are the only one who can defeat Satan and his power. We give thanks to you that we have brought Mr. Lam to you and into your mighty Kingdom. Lead him in your own way that he will be baptized in Hong Kong soon and that he will be teachable and faithful following you each day to be your obedient servant. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
