Bible Study

     We had quite a number of daily topics about real man and real woman the past few days. We had topic in Day 11 A Real Man Loves His Wife, Day 13 A Good Wife Listens to God and today's topic: A good wife lets her husband to lead. You may be very angry now if you do not have a good relationship with your husband, especial he is that kind of husband always want to control and to lead. You may be saying now, "Why do I need to let him lead? Why can't I lead?"  

Let's take a look at what Professor John Goldingay says (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Goldingay) :

    

     Male authority or domination was not God's design but a consequence of a breakdown in relationship between humanity and God, between humanity and the animal world, and between human beings and one another.  From now on, the Bible will assume the reality of patriarchy and of male headship, but it begins by noting that this came about only as a result of those various breakdowns of relationship…
    Women wanting to be themselves, and men wanting to rule, is a reality in the church and in the ministry as it is elsewhere.

      There are so many breakdowns in relationship between husbands and wives, there are more and more good marriages end up in divorce, how can todays message solve this problem?

    The title I heard from Jesus today is: A good wife lets her husband to lead

    What I receive from Jesus today is a few parts  of secret to have a good marriage. And, it is all there in the topics I received from Jesus in Genesis  1 and 2:
DAY  8  A Real Human Being Serves God And Relate to God
DAY  9  A Real Human Being Is God's Good Gardener
DAY 10 A Real Human Being Obeys God's NO
Day 11 A Real Man Loves His Wife
Day 13 A Good Wife Listens to God
DAY 14 A Real Human Being Won't Mess Up God's Plan
Day 15 A Good Wife Lets Her Husband to Lead 

    Well, if you as a wife can live out Day 8 to 14, there should be no problem for you to have your husband to lead.

    If you as a husband can live out Day 8 to 14, your wife should have no problem for you to lead or you should have no problem to let your wife to lead.

    Because both of you are willing to be led by Jesus. Then, who is leading whom is not a problem any more. Who is loving the other more should be the purpose of your life, right? 

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help us to be willing to let you lead so that wives are willing to let their husbands to lead. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
