Today's passage shows the opposite result as compare to yesterday's passage. If you want to know the secret of personal growth and success, church growth, church planting and a life bearing much fruit, you can get it here in today's just one verse, Genesis 12: 1.

Let's take a look at what Professor John Goldingay says (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Goldingay) :

When people speak in terms of the Lord's call or of their "vocation," it often sounds more like an invitation or a request than a summons or a directive.  When God calls Abraham, it is more like a summons, more like a master calling a servant.  "Get yourself" over there is near to the connotation of the way God speaks; there are more polite ways of bidding someone to go somewhere, and God uses none of these.

John Goldingay. Genesis for Everyone. Louisville,KY: Westminster John Knox Press, 2010, p.135.

Do you agree today's message is the secret of bearing much fruit? Have you been called by our Lord Jesus Christ like that before? Is Jesus really your Master and Lord?

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe":  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmax47l2hLU

The title I heard from Jesus today is: The secret of bearing much fruit

The message I receive from Jesus today is another big, big catch for me after yesterday's.

There is no secret for bearing much fruit because you should know that. Listen and obey, right? Yes, of course. But, when was the last time when Jesus called you like a master calling a servant? Why he can't call you in that way?

Well, it doesn't need to be big thing. It can be like this:

Ask for a day off next Friday so that you can participate in the coming Leaders Retreat

Or, it can be like this:

Get on with that. Don't be lazy. Do what I have been telling you several times. Don't procrastinate!

Or, it can be like this:

You got to forgive him. Don't let anger lording your life!

Or, it can be like this:

Quit your job. Don't worry, I'll have a better one for you!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be willing to allow you to be our Master and Lord so that we can bear much fruit. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
