The message I got today from our Lord Jesus Christ is so moving, important and meaning:

Yesterday I had a most memorable dinner with Bishop Peter of South Sudan in a gathering with one archbishop and thirteen bishops.

The horrible thing is when Peter Peter told me he had 18 people killed by rebels during their Christmas Eve service just three months ago in his Cathedral. His diocese has 15,000 Anglicans and because of this killing, there are only 35 people still stay in the Cathedral, all the other parishioners went to safer place protected by UN peace force.

                 Today's Psalm 51:14
"Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
You who are God my Saviour."

He told me he was in a kind of depression but only because of Jesus is with Him that he can get through this tragedy! The past two days when I talked to him I feel a great peace of the presence of God in him and a kind of joy that surpass every kind of darkness caused by the losing of his own people.

Bishop Peter of South Sudan gives us a perfect example of today's passages in Joshua and Luke that when we become a true disciple of Christ to really listen and obey, we know which way to go!

Joshua 3:4, "Then you will know which way to go."

And from today's passage in Luke, God will exalt us like He exalted Joshua. What we need is to give to those who has nothing good to give back to us! We so often do things for those who will give us benefit or reward. Bishop Peter's way is to be with his people in the Cathedral, even there are only 35 people left!

That's the way of turning the bloodshed to follow our awesome and powerful God!

I see in his moving witness to all of us how awesome and powerful God really is and I can see the light of Christ in his face giving me so much encouragement!

     Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us not to do things to other for reward but to give so that we can experience that you are our awesome and powerful God. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

    1.  Who are those people you invite for lunch and dinner and those who you care for? Do you want to get some benefit and reward from them?

    2.  How can you not take part in the bloodshed of hurting other people because of your pride, greed, envy and anger?
     3. What have you received from Jesus today?
