Silence
1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

My Listening
The message I got today from our Lord Jesus Christ is extremely important:
The theme I receive today give you the secret and the way whether you can live out three points in today's passages.
As you can see from the photo of my scribing that the theme is from Joshua 22: 3 that Joshua praised the two and a half tribes of Israelites of their not deserting the other nine and a half tribes.
You need to know where your "army" is and you need to join them so that the warfare God commands us can have a better chance to gain victory. The mission God gives to your church and to you have a better chance to accomplish.
For the people of Richmond Emmanuel Church, what I receive is to call them to come to our daily 6am Time with Abba and 7am Eucharist. God asks us to gather as an army each morning to fight a severe spiritual warfare just as how millions of Christians in Korea and China doing the same thing. They gathered together to worship and pray at 4:30am the earliest and 6am the latest! Please do not desert your fellow soldiers! Please do not become "deserters 逃兵"! For your church, it should be the regular weekly or daily Prayer Meeting, don't be "deserters"!
If your "army" can gather together in unity to fight then:
1. God's Mission can be accomplished
We can see clearly from Joshua 22:5:
a. To love: to love the Lord your God
b. To walk: to walk in obedience to Him
c. To keep: to keep His commands
d. to hold fast: to hold fast to God
e. to serve: to serve Him
2. We can be fruitful and be willing to pay the rent to God
As Luke 20:9-10 tells us that we are farmers and tenants renting God's vineyard and we need to be fruitful and be able to pay the rent God requires. Giving back to God what is God's as described in Luke 20:25.
Instead, most people choose to be miners mining "gold", chasing money all the time of their lives and stealing the fruits of God!
Are you faithful farmers or unfaithful miners?
3. When disaster comes, we are able to take refuge in God
According to Psalm 57:1-6, if we are not "deserters", then when disaster comes, we can be able to take refuge in the shadow of God's wings until the disaster pass and God will vindicate us! God will protect us from all kinds of harm, even lions and ravenous beasts can not harm us! No depression! No anxiety! How wonderful!
"Do not desert your fellow soldiers! Catty out your mission!"

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us not to desert our fellow soldiers but be willing to carry out the Mission you command us to do so that your Name will be glorified. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. What do you think of today's metaphor of "not deserting you fellow soldiers"? How practical it is in your own situation?
2. How are you going to change your lifestyle so that you are not one of those who desert their fellow soldiers?
3. What have you received from Jesus today?
3. What have you received from Jesus today?
