My Listening
The message I got today from our Lord Jesus Christ is a challenging choice for you: "Human help is worthless. In God we will gain VICTORY!"
What I received from Jesus in today's Psalm 60:11-12 is that all human help is worthless, in God we will gain victory.
The past few days when we started Judges, I have been using "arrow" up and "arrow" down to show "peaceful" and "besieged":
Judges 3:11 Othniel brought the Israelites to obey God, they got 40 years of peace
Judges 3:14 Othniel died, those Israelites deserted God, they were besieged by king of Moab for 18 years
Judges 3:30. Ehud brought the Israelites back to God, they got 80 years of peace
Judges 4:3 Ehud died, those Israelites deserted God, they were besieged by king of Canaan for 20 years
Judges 5:31 Deborah brought the Israelites back to God, they got 40 years of peace
Then in today's Judges 7:1 - 16 God spoke to Gideon five times and then gave him a sign by leading him to an appointed place, exact timing by listening to the sharing of a dream by two Midianites. Then, Gideon had faith and courage to use a God-led strategy to win a big war.
Many people think that we need some important people to help us to get through crisis, in fact, today's message is that only in God we can gain victory.
Do you believe that?
