Praise and Thanksgiving

1.   Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:

“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

 My Listening
The message I got today from our Lord Jesus Christ is so powerful:
"Prostitute to this culture and lifestyle"

Today we got a very ugly word from the Bible "prostitute"! So ugly that no one would dare to admit that the Israelites prostituted themselves to the foreign gods of the land they are entering. Is that just talking about Moses and Joshua's time? No, it also talks about today as more and more people are willing to sell their body, mind and soul to this wicked culture and lifestyle! Money, Sex and Power control almost everything and everywhere. Terrible!

Today's Psalm talks about the uselessness of wealth and that the splendour of those who worship money, sex and power will soon perish!

Jesus talks about the foolishness of greedy people and those who pursue for abundance of possessions would be full of worries. Those worries pull people out from the Kingdom of God to live in darkness and depression.

That's how Jesus says, "Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. Sell you possessions and give to the poor."

What a big difference is for people to sell their body, mind and soul to prostitute to this worldly kingdom in order to accumulate an abundance of possessions to sell our possessions and give to the poor to become disciples of Christ changing the world into God's Kingdom.

     Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us not to prostitute ourselves to this world kingdom but to give all to you to build up your might Kingdom. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

      Reflect on these questions:
    1.  What is the impact you have when you hear that word "prostitute"? Do you agree with the Bible that such situation happened in Moses and Joshua's time and also in today's time?

    2.  How can you do something about that to make use that you are a disciple of Christ?

     3. What have you received from Jesus today?

    Praise and Thanksgiving
