Silence
1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

My Listening
The message I got today from our Lord Jesus Christ is a challenging choice for you: "Powerless Religious People or God's Mighty Warriors"
What I received from Jesus in today's Psalm 60:14 is that all the fear in our lives make people think that God rejects us and angry with us.
But, in fact, those fear are to teach us to fear God so that He can restore us to the manufacturer's original mode!
So that we can be raised to be a leader with a mighty banner to fight with God for victory.
So, how can we have that kind of victory and to be God's mighty warrior and not to become powerless religious people? Or even worse to betray Jesus like how Peter did in today's Luke 22:60-62
We can learn from Gideon's experience of how God restored His people to become mighty warriors:
1. Pray: to God for mercy (Judges 6:6)
2. Acknowledge and confession your sins(6:7-10): After we cry out and pray to God like the Israelites did in today's Judges, the Holy Spirit(or an angel in Gideon's case) will come to let us know our sins (that's why I use "subject shifting devotion method" in the beginning of this blog to help you to do that everyday)
3. God will challenge a leader to do His mighty work(6:11-13): In today's case, God chose Gideon to do the job.
4. God's promise to transfer His strength to become your strength(6:14-16)
5. Ask for God to give a sign to receive His strength (6:17-24)
6 God's first challenge for Gideon to do a big thing beyond his capacity(6:25-32)
7. Real transfer of God's strength to become Gideon's strength(6:33- 35)
That's the time when the Holy Spirit filled and anointed Gideon to become a true mighty warrior to fight for God and His people
Are you willing to go through this seven steps? I have been through almost exactly these seven steps many, many times ever since I first went through that in 1981!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be willing to go through Gideon's seven steps to become God's mighty warrior so that we won't become powerless religious people wasting our life and time and that our lives can not honour you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. Does this seven steps sound familiar to you? Have you been through a few times or not?
2. How can you pray that these seven steps will happen to your life so that you can be used by God to be His mighty warriors to fight for him in this dark culture?
3. What have you received from Jesus today?
3. What have you received from Jesus today?
