1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

Today's main passages:
From the ends of the earth I call to you,
I call as my heart grows faint;
lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For you have been my refuge,
a strong tower against the foe. Psalm 61:2-3
No sooner had Gideon died than the Israelites again prostituted themselves to the Baals. Judges 8:33

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

My Listening
Another historical tragedy happened again, just as Joshua, Othniel, Ehud, Deborah and Gideon died, once again the Israelites deserted God and worshipped the Baals!
It is extremely sad that one of the sons of Gideon, Abimelek killed his own seventy brothers! What a tragic end of Gideon! Why? How can God allowed that to happen?
The fact is that Gideon had been in power for forty years and in that forty years he had many wives and concubines. Those women had 72 sons for Gideon, not knowing how many daughters! I think it is the power and lust to pull Gideon down that he could not pass on the faith to his next generation and to the Israelites! He ate his own fruit!
Psalm 61:2 tells us that it is so easy to have a rock in between God and us, we need to cry to God to raise us up above our height so that we can be able to see. So that we can remember those saving acts God did to us, can be able to feel His presence and can have the hope for our future!
May you be able to pray using Psalm 61 when you are hopeless so that you can enter into His protection, guidance and blessing again!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be able to pray using Psalm 61 when we are hopeless so that we can enter into your protection, guidance and blessing again and that we can be able to become your mighty warriors. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
