1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
3. Open your heart to praise the Lord
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalm 23:1
Confession and repentance
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

The Word
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
28 And when Jesus finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at his teaching,29 for he was teaching them as one who had authority, and not as their scribes.
Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"
My Listening
Today we come to the final conclusion of the Sermon on the Mount. Let me have a recap of Jesus' important teaching.
Chapter 5 is about our new "being", chapter 6 is about our new "doing", and chapter 7 is about our new standard. It all starts with our repentance so that we can be in God's Kingdom, following Jesus as our Lord and King everyday. There are three warnings after that and we come to today's grand finale.
It seems so easy to understand this conclusion. You listen and obey, and then no matter what happens to your life, you can stand firm. If you do not listen and obey, then even a small and minor incident could cause your whole faith to collapse.
Do you have anything to repent now so that you can start to experience a new way of being, exercise a new way of doing, and live in a new standard? Yes, new being, new doing and new standard. So simple and yet so difficult!Has your identity (being) been transformed as you have been living out the Beatitudes? Have you started to give more, pray more and fast more? Have you been transformed to live out a new standard to let God be God, and not take His role as a judge? Have you been enjoying that intimate father and son/daughter relationship and knowing that He is going to provide you with what you need? There are so many things we see and face everyday that do not work. So many people think that their job is not working, their family is not working, their church is not working and everything is not working!
Do you want to be a wise builder? Of course! Who wants to be a foolish builder! Well, if you want everything to work, then may be you have to go back to Day 1 and start to have a revision from Day 1 of this Break.Build blog to today's blog so that you know how to make things work.
That's your new foundation! That's what it is in the Sermon on the Mount! And, it surely works!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to be able to live out the life as you teach us in the Sermon on the Mount so that people can see you in us. Help us live lives that glorify Your Name. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. Do you have some problems recently that you want to solve? (e.g. works, marriage, family, children, church ...)
2. How can today's message help you to solve those problems? What is the key to solve those problems? 3. What is the step you need to take in order to solve those problems?
Family Corner:
1. Does your family have a time to share whether you are on the right track living everyday's life?
2. How can you tell your family members this new job description?
