What I got from Jesus today is: When Jesus says give you say no!

This is the respond most Christians do. We always do not have the faith to give but we always have the greed to want more, more and more!

I was so moved to hear Rick Warren shared how he and his wife Kay decided not only to tithe but raised from 10% to 11% many years ago, and then next year 12%, and then next 13% and he said last year they gave 91% of what they earned and lived on 9%. You may say that he earn such a lot so 9% is a lot more than most people have. But, you need to know when they decided to raise up the percentage of offering was before Rick wrote his best selling book "Purpose Driven Life". They do it by faith. He said the watch he bought was only $15 and he has been driving his Ford for 11 years.

Rick gives us a very good example what the lifestyle of Christlikeness really means.

So, only Jesus knows what are those things controlling you, only Jesus knows who is your real Lord. He invited the young man to give up his real lord and follow Jesus as the Lord but he said NO. What do you say to Jesus when He invites you to give up something in order that He can be you Lord and King? What do you say?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to give up the things that you invite us to give so that you can be our Lord. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Praise the Lord that we had a good time to celebrate Athanasius 14th birthday. Remember last year when we celebrated Athan's 13rd birthday it was at home with Michelle's doctor special permission to go home for a day from Vancouver General Hospital. God is good! All the time!
