What I received from Jesus today is a three steps process to discern God's will. If you want to have an accurate discernment of God's will, it has to do with the Holy Spirit. The word "Holy Spirit" appears three time in three consecutive verses before Simeon did what he long waited to do.

Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord's Christ. Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required, Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying:
Luke 2:25-28
1. Filled by the Holy Spirit (v. 25) - Filled up to be ready for God's Kingdom order
2. Revealed by the Holy Spirit (v. 26) - Lighted up to see God's Kingdom plan
3. Moved by the Holy Spirit (v. 27) - Fire up to do God's Kingdom work
After this three steps Simeon knew the timing, the place, what to do and do it.
That's why Jesus told His disciples do not do anything before they were filled by the Holy Spirit. Without filling by the Holy Spirit we cannot do God's Kingdom work!
Now, you may need to kneel down and ask the Holy Spirit to come and fill you that you can be ready for God's order, to be able to see God's Kingdom plan and do God's Kingdom work.
I just had a wonderful experience filling by the Holy Spirit by kneeling in front of the window of my hotel room at 4a.m. in South Carolina facing the Atlantic Ocean. It was with very heavy thundering and lightening outside. Wonderful! Michelle and I came yesterday for the bi-yearly House of Bishops' retreat and it is always a blessed time to be with all my brother bishops and their wives.
Dear Holy Spirit,
Come and fill us that we can be able to see God's Kingdom plan and to be fired up to do His work . In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Please click this link to worship with us - Holy Spirit Rain Down
