One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. Luke 6: 12
What I received from Jesus today is: How well do you pray?
The way you pray defines how close you are to Jesus. Why? Because if you say you are following Jesus and you do not follow how He prayed then you are just talking, dreaming but not really following.
The Bible gives us many examples of how Jesus prayed as often as He could. And, in this case of choosing his apostles He prayed overnight and fasting of course. Last Monday our church was one of the three prayer centres for Chinese Christians on Election Day for MPs. We called a fasting and prayers on that day. I was in the church praying for at least five hours but I did not see anyone came to pray but only five people. Is it really so difficult to pray for our Nation? Is it so difficult to believe in the power of prayers? Without prayer nothing can be done, with prayer everything is possible!
How well do you pray? Are you willing to follow Jesus example or our examples to pray?
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to follow your example to pray. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Please click this link to worship with us - Oceans Will Part
