"Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they her it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away. Luke 8: 13
What I received from Jesus today is: Are you in the time of testing?
What can we do in the time of testing? John Stott in his last book gives us an answer as in the title of his book - Radical Disciple. What Uncle John means as Radical disciple in Greek term is Rooted Disciple. The Seed, Word of God needs to be rooted in our lives so that we can stand firm in the time of testing. How much is God's Word rooted in your life? How much is your relationship with Jesus that His daily words rooted in you that you can pass the test when it comes? It is such a blessing and honor that Ignatius our elder son and I have another chance to visit Uncle John in his home on June 10. We visited him in July 2009 and we look forward to see him again!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to have you and your word rooted in our lives. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Please click this link to worship with us - He Is Lord
