Then they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth." Genesis 11: 4
What I received from Jesus today is: You can't be God anymore!
Lots of people don't understand why God wanted to confuse their language. Is it not "unity" the one thing that God so wants to happen? Yes and No. Unity in Christ is what God desperately wants but unity in a nation thinking that they could be God and that's a "No".
When God acts, people can't be God anymore. Like that in Daniel when the powerful king Nebuchadnezzar thought that he was so powerful than God. God acted and he got mad for seven years!
The king was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon, he said, "Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty?" The words were still on his lips when a voice came from heaven, "This is what is decreed for you, King Nebuchadnezzar; Your royal authority has been taken from you. You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like cattle. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone he wished." Immediately what had been said about Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled. He was driven away from people and ate grass like cattle... Daniel 4: 29 - 33
And then how King Herod died right after he acted as God:
On the appointed day Herod, wearing his royal robes, sat on his throne and delivered a public address to the people. They shouted, "This is the voice of a god, not of a man." Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.
Acts 12: 21-23
Remember, when God acts, you can't be God anymore! Let God be God!
Praise the Lord that our family has a new paradigm shift! We begin a family prayer meeting today sharing deep things of our lives. Even Athanasius was willing to join us for prayers, that was a miracle! I as a father never know how to communicate with my two sons. Tonight is a good start that we shared lots of things for about half an hour and we prayed for each others. If we want to have a revival for our church we need first to have a revival in our family! Let Jesus be the real Lord of our family! Let God be God!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to learn this lesson so that we can let you be God. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
