After Abram returned from defeating Kedorlaomer and the kings allied with him, the king of Sodom came out to meet him in the Balley of Shaveh (that is, the King's Valley).

Then Melchizedek king of Salem (that is, Jerusalem) brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, and he blessed Abram, saying,

"Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth. And blessed be God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand."

Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything. Genesis 14: 17-20

What I received from Jesus today is: When you experienced God greatly, you'll offer greatly!

Abram knew that too well that he could not win Kedorlaomer and the kings allied with him. That was an act of God. Let's take a look at what happened from verses 1 to 12. Right after a total victory of that four kings against the five kings, Abram took only 318 of his trained men born in his household and had a total victory. How could that be? Impossible!

If you were Abram, what would you do? He offered the king of Salem who was like an Archbishop in our time a tenth of everything. This is the first place in the Bible about tithing.

What I got from Jesus is that when you experienced God greatly, you'll offer greatly. Though tithing doesn't mean offer greatly but a must as described in Malachi 3: 6-12.

How is your offering recently?!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for your protecting and blessings. Help us to be willing to offer our tithing to you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
