So Abram said to Lot, "Let's not have any quarreling between you and me, or between your herdsmen and mine, for we are brothers. Is not the whole land before you? Let's part company. If you go to the left, I'll go to the right; if you go to the right, I'll go to the left." Genesis 13: 8-9
What I received from Jesus today is: Your Integrity Check! 人格的考驗!
Michelle and I were chatting about some weird situation of why Christians fight each others. Then she said, "It's just like husband and wife. When they love each others they can do everything to each others. But when they want to divorce then they can become very nasty!"
To me, that is the time of our "integrity check". Whether you would become very nasty or even want to fight, kill and destroy the other party or you choose to be generous is your choice. But, watch out, in God's eyes that is an "integrity check". This chapter tells us what happened to Abram after he passed this "integrity check"(人格的考驗). How many times have you failed or passed this kind of tests?
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be able to pass our integrity tests. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
