The men turned away and went toward Sodom, but Abraham remained standing before the Lord. Then Abraham approached him and said: "Will you sweep away the righteous with the wicked? What if there are fifty righteous people in the city? Will you really sweep it away and not spare the place for the sake of the fifty righteous people in it? Far be it from you to do such a thing - to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?" Genesis 18: 22-25
What I received from Jesus today is: Do you dare to challenge God?
We as human beings like to challenge anyone or anything. But do you dare to challenge God? Surely you will say, "No, how would I do that?" But, when was the last time you challenge God's servants? What is good to challenge God's servants if you are sure that they are God's servants? May be that is the question. We don't even know who are from God and who are not!
With the recent situation of our AMiAs leaving Rwanda we as bishops have been challenged in a very hurtful way. It is good that we have the official announcement from AMiA telling us what is really happening and that we have now our three founding Primates, Archbishop Emmanuel Kolini, Archbishop Moses Tay and Archbishop Yong Ping Chung willing to be our spiritual oversight. Is that enough for you to trust this is God's new page and not to make the same mistake as Abraham did?
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to walk together with you trusting each others. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
