Today's passage is about what "salvation" really is. Why?
Let's hear what N.T. Wright says:
For Luke, what has happened to this man isn't just a remarkable healing; it is 'salvation' (verse 36). The salvation which God promised long ago, which has appeared in Jesus, and which has already reached many in Israel, is now starting to spread further afield.
But the real point of the story comes at the close. The man, quite understandably, wants to be allowed to stay with Jesus. Not only is he now bonded to him by the astonishing rescue he has experienced; he may well assume that things would not be easy back in his home territory, where everyone knew the tragic tale of his recent life. There might be considerable reluctance to accept him again as a member of a family or a village. He would have to stand up and take responsibility for himself, he couldn't rely on being able, as it were, to hide behind Jesus. He is one of those to whom Jesus does not say 'follow me' in any literal sense; he is one of those (the majority we may suppose) to whom he said 'go home and tell them'. Having experienced the good news in action, he must now tell it himself.
How did Jesus save you? How long ago? How do you compare your salvation with this man's salvation, any similarity?
Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

What I heard from Jesus today is: To disconnect or to connect is your choice!
What I received today from Jesus is a very deep thought if you dare to go deep. The Lord leads me to think of two sets of conditions:
1. To be led by the Holy Spirit to a solitary place to connect
To connect to God and to be filled by the Holy Spirit
To disconnect with things blocking Jesus to connect with God
To connect to God and to be filled by the Holy Spirit
To disconnect with things blocking Jesus to connect with God
2. To be driven by the demon into solitary places to disconnect
To disconnect with all kinds of possible support from his family, other people and God.
To connect with Satan's way of hatred, anger, bitterness, darkness, self-isolation and to be filled with the evil spirits.
So, to disconnect or to connect in the right way is your own choice!
Choose wisely!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to be able to know what are those things we need to disconnect and those we need to connect so that we can have a better relationship with you and to be filled with the Holy Spirit daily. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
