Silence

1.   Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2.   Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace. Exhale your worries.

Praise and Thanksgiving

1.   Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
3.   Open your heart to praise the Lord

O God, from my youth you have taught me,
and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds.
18          So even to old age and gray hairs,
O God, do not forsake me,
until I proclaim your might to another generation,
your power to all those to come.
                             Psalm 71:17-18

Confession and Repentance

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:

“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

The Word (Numbers 20:9-13)

English(ESV): https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=numbers+20&version=ESV

And Moses took the staff from before the Lord, as he commanded him.
10 Then Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them, “Hear now, you rebels: shall we bring water for you out of this rock?” 11 And Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock with his staff twice, and water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their livestock. 12 And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe in me, to uphold me as holy in the eyes of the people of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them.” 13 These are the waters of Meribah, where the people of Israel quarreled with the Lord, and through them he showed himself holy.

                             Numbers 20:9-12

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

My Listening
After I wrote yesterday's blog, I had been thinking for the past 24 hours of a very important message from the Lord. Jesus kept on reminding me that I have left out a very important message that I need to add to this blog. It is such a wonderful experience!

Our Lord Jesus Christ helps me to link up Numbers 20: 9-13 to Matthew 6:9. Wow! Suddenly I have a new and profound understanding of what Jesus means "Hollowed by your name" in Lord's prayer!

It is so simple, God commands you to "Go" and you "Go" and do what God commands you to do. God commands you to "No Go", then you don't "Go". That is "hollowed by your name"!

That is why God says in Numbers 20: 12:

“Because you did not believe in me, to uphold me as holy in the eyes of the people of Israel,

     And verse 13:

and through them he showed himself holy.

That is what listen and obey really is! That is what "Go or No Go" as in my blog/podcast last Wednesday is: http://discipler123.blogspot.ca/2015/05/ot-day-215-go-or-no-go-please-click.html

Our willingness to follow what God commands us especially in very difficult and impossible situation will make people to experience the great power of God. And, that is "Holy", Holy God comes down to show His mighty power, Wow! Holy!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to have a new understanding of "Hollowed be your name" so that you can use us to let people to see you are our Holy God, mighty in power. And we are willing just to listen and obey your command. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Reflect on these questions:
1. How do you show God's "Holy Name" recently?

2. Do you have a new understanding in "Hollowed be Your Name" today?

Praise and Thanksgiving
