Silence
1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

Today's main passage:
37 And my master made me swear an oath, and said, ‘You must not get a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I live,38 but go to my father’s family and to my own clan, and get a wife for my son.’
39 “Then I asked my master, ‘What if the woman will not come back with me?’
40 “He replied, ‘The Lord, before whom I have walked faithfully, will send his angel with you and make your journey a success, so that you can get a wife for my son from my own clan and from my father’s family. Genesis 24:37-40
Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passages we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him.
My Listening
The topic I received today is: "Send His angel, to go with you, your journey a success"
4. Because God is the one who is willing to take you out of death into life
Matthew 8:1-17 tells people on earth that Jesus is the one who says "Let it be done as you believed it would". We can clearly see His power of healing and casting out demons. Just one word and people got healed.
May you be able to experience "Send His angel, to go with you, your journey a success" because of your daily intimate relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord!
Today we have for wonderful passages to take people out from hopelessness to experience God's wonderful guidance and power!
1. God, I take refuge in you, save me!
Psalm 7:1-9 gives a clear picture of the cry of the Psalmist in the midst of 360 degree attack with no one to help!
To King David it talks about those enemies who wanted him to die. To us, those hardship and crisis might be our painful experience, serious illness or a loss of someone or something you think you are not willing to lose.
2. Lean not on your own understanding but to listen to God's word and He will make your paths straight
Proverbs 3:1-6 is the only way out when you have no one to help. The sad thing is that we always lean on our own wisdom and understanding even to the point of death and not willing to repent and to come back to the Lord!
3. Send His angel, to go with you, your journey a success
Genesis 24:1-51 records one of the most detailed "Send His angel, to go with you, your journey a success" testimony!
Abraham demonstrated his gift of knowledge and prophecy of how he told his servant of "Send His angel, to go with you, your journey a success" and everything happened exactly the same as he prophesied. If you can enter into that intimate relationship just as Abraham or his servant, you whole life will be full of blessings! Why?4.
Dear Abba,
May you increase my faith because of our intimate relationship each day so that I can always experience "Send His angel, to go with you, your journey a success". In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. Have you experience a kind of crisis with no one to help? What happened?
2. How can you experience "Send His angel, to go with you, your journey a success" more often? What is your next step?
