So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. Colossians 2: 6-7

What I heard from Jesus today is: Live, rooted and built in Jesus!

I was in awe today when I read the name Laodicea in the first verse of this chapter and found out that the name of the city Hierapolis appears only once and that is in Colossians 4: 14. Yesterday I talked about the big earthquake that destroyed these three cities (Colossae, Laodicea and Hierapolis) two to three years after Paul wrote this letter.

When God prepares His servants to do something we better listen and obey because we never know if we don't then we might not be able to stand what is to follow. In this context, you may have a new look to what Paul want to say that if we have Jesus as Lord then we need to live, rooted and built in Him. How well are you live, rooted and built in Him. This might be a life or death question!

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help us to cherish every day of our life and that we can live, rooted and built in you. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
