For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day - and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 4: 6-8
What I heard from Jesus today is: See the finishing line and sure of finishing well!
Wow, Jesus gave me a vivid picture of Paul seeing the finishing line and so sure that he is going to finish well with the race to get the prize!
This is such a good example for us to learn. You know why? Because most people are not able to see the finishing line and if we really see it we would be full of fear and may be anger. I am talking about those who know that they are going to die. How blessed it can be for someone who follow Paul's example seeing the finishing line and be sure to finish well. If you do not die because of an heart attack, do you think you can die with a smile, just like Paul?
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be able to fight a good fight and run a good race for you and that at the end, we can finish well. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
