Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Colossians 3: 5-10

What I heard from Jesus today is: From Devil-likeness to Christ-likeness.

Have you ever thought of your were once in the image of the Devil and you were once in the lifestyle of Devil-likeness. I do hope and pray that you are not still in that kind of lifestyle.

Paul used two very strong words "put to death" and "rid yourselves of " to describe the critical situation of Christians as they were still living in sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, greed, anger, rage, malice, slander and filthy language. Do you still have any of these?

When we are being transformed from Devil-likeness to Christ-likeness then everything will be changed including all kinds of relationship as Paul described: husband and wife, parent and children, slaves and masters. Because your relationship have been changed, your focus has been changed, your mind has been changed and everything will be changed and renewed into a lifestyle of Christ-likeness. Have you been changing towards that direction?

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help us to be able to change and renew from Devil-likeness to Christ-likeness. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
