You know quite well that we were destined for trials. In fact, when we were with you, we kept telling you that we would be persecuted. And it turned out that way, as you well know. For this reason, when I could stand it no longer I sent to find out about your faith. I was afraid that in some way the tempter might have tempted you and our efforts might have been useless. 1 Thessalonians 3: 3-5

What I heard from Jesus today is: Don't be tempted by the Tempter!

The most painful thing for me as a leader is to see those I helped, trained, cared, loved and supported to be tempted by the Tempter and all my efforts have been useless! Paul reminds us that we are always in all kinds of trials and persecution and we should be ready for that so that we would not be discouraged or even depressed. Our duty is to try all our best like what Timothy's job as described by Paul: to strengthen and encourage our brothers and sisters so that no one would be unsettled by those trials. Are we prepared and ready for this call?

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help us to strengthen and encourage our brothers and sisters so that they will not be tempted by the Tempter. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
