Bible Study
This few verses following the same theme as yesterday that Jesus is doing the new way in the new day but in a more deeper level. This time is for Jesus to heal someone's shriveled hand on a Sabbath. It also give us a new understanding on a true Christian's anger over the sins that are evident in society and among some people. Jesus anger was fully justified as his disapproval of all ungodliness, wicked rebellion and injustice. He looked at those people in anger is because he was "deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts". Jesus' example show us that it is appropriate and Christlike to be angry about evil. This does not mean that Christ approves of Christians taking harsh actions that set a bad example for others who do not know Christ.
Do you know how Jesus can be distressed if you have got that kind of stubborn heart too? What kind of new understanding have you got about anger?
Have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to God as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"
My Spiritual Journal
What I heard from Jesus today is: Jesus angry at your stubborn heart?
What I have heard from Jesus today is a big warning if we admit that lots of time we are stubborn, we have a stubborn heart too. This kind of stubborn forbids Jesus to do His new way on his new day through us. We can not become a true disciple of Christ doing His Kingdom work because of our stubbornness!
