After the first four verses of prologue using Luke as a mentor to instruct and prepare Theophilus, here comes stories for Luke to prepare our minds and hearts for the story of Jesus. He begins with the story of Zechariah and Elisabeth, then Mary, then Elizabeth again, then John the Baptist, then Zechariah again, then the shepherds and the angels, then, wow, Jesus!
What a long preparation for us to develop slowly waiting for the key person, the Messiah, Jesus Christ to come into the spotlight!
What are those preparations in your life developing slowly so that you could be able to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior, Lord and King? How can you recall all those persons that God used to prepare for that to happen? Can you write down their names one by one?

What I heard from Jesus today is: How Jesus prepared for you to receive him?
What I received today from Jesus is an invitation for you to count His blessings of how Jesus prepared for you to receive Him as your Savior, Lord and King.
My coach, Dr. Terry Walling, used two days in the AMiA bishops retreat, two days at his home in Chico, CA and then two days in my last Doctor of Ministry course of Fuller Seminary to prepare me to do a project called "Time-line". The project recorded all my key moments in life to understand how God used numerous people to change my life that I can experience Him in a deeper and deeper way.
Would you close your eyes now and pray to the Lord, asking Him to reveal all those important faces whom He used to change your life. That kind of change that Jesus can be your Savior, Lord and King.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to be able to see all those faces and give thanks to you for how you prepare our lives to receive you as our Savior, Lord and King. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
