      After Paul uses eleven chapters to tell those people and us that no matter who we are, Jews or gentiles, we are all sinful. What we need is transformation, real transformation. Have you seen the movie Transformer? What does those Transformer look like? How could we look like after our transformation? How could we look like if we are not willing to be transformed by the Holy Spirit?  

Bishop N.T. Wright's says (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N._T._Wright):

     Paul doesn't just tell people what to avoid.  He shows them how to avoid it. "Put on the Lord Jesus, the Messiah", he says. What does that mean? How can we do it?

    When we read this passage, we often focus on how to get rid of the work of darkness and then put on the amor of light. Then we think of the full amor of God as describes in Ephesians 6:13 - 17. Take a look at verse 14, what do you think is the amor of light? 

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

     What I heard from Jesus today is: How to avoid bad behaviour?

    What I got from Jesus today is a very, very important message. The only way to avoid or get rid of bad behaviour according to Paul is "Put on the Lord Jesus". You may be thinking of how to put on? Can Jesus like our clothes for us to put on?

    No, no, it is not a functional word. It is a relational word! Jesus is light of the world. If we have that relationship with Jesus than He can truly help you to avoid bad behaviour.

    Just five hours ago I was in our church helping two brothers I do not know to get rid of their bad behaviours. They knelt in front of the altar confessing their sins knowing that only Jesus can help them to cast off the work of darkness. Jesus cannot be a piece of amor for you to put on. When you put on Jesus the Messiah. It means that you have a relationship with Him and you are willing to enter into that relationship. What kind of relationship? He is your Saviour, your Lord and your King. That's the only way to avoid bad behaviours and being truly transformed. You as human beings cannot cast off the work of darkness, only Jesus! Jesus is Lord! Be with our Lord each day and be willing to have Him lording your live each day! 

   Wake up! Don't let the king of this world to put you to sleep. Wake up and be with Jesus each day that you are in the Light each day.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Lead us to follow you as our Saviour, Lord and King so that we can cast off the work of darkness and to avoid bad behaviour.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
