God came to visit Abraham and Sarah. And, God spoke! When God speaks to you, do you have the faith to trust that what He says will happen or not happen? Well, it depends, right? Depends on what?

Let's take a look at what Professor John Goldingay says (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Goldingay) :

What Sarah hears makes her laugh, as Abraham had laughed on that occasion in Genesis 17…What the man says is just impossible.  She knows her own body. In response to that, God speaks. As we might have guessed in light of the story's headline, the spokesman is the one among the three who is or who represents God
Sarah's skepticism is understandable.  It would take a miracle to bring about what this man says.  Somehow, Sarah has to break out of her framework of expectations for what is possible.  Let's suppose she would accept that nothing is too wondrous for God to bring about.  She would also know that God is economic with miracles.  They would not be called wonders if the happened every day.  I can perhaps accept that they happen extraordinarily to other people, but when someone starts suggesting I am about to experience one, accepting that is a different matter.

What have you got from this passage? Do you think similar miracle could happen to you?

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe":  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmax47l2hLU

The title I heard from Jesus today is: Is anything too hard for the Lord?

What I got from Jesus today is a concrete confirmation of the believe that miracles do happen today. Actually I have been sharing yesterday's message "God demands your total commitment" to some people today and we agree of two things:
1. Miracles often happen.
2. Miracles often happen when someone or some people exercise total commitment like what Abraham, Moses, Peter, Paul and more, include you and me.

Is anything too hard for the Lord? No!
The question is whether we know God demands our total commitment and whether we are willing to exercise total commitment.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to know that there is nothing too hard for you.  Lead us to be with you each day that we can have the willingness and courage to exercise total commitment so that we can be able to experience more miracles to extend your mighty Kingdom.   In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

The "Old Testament Trinity" subject is best known from the famous icon painted by St Andrey Rublev (created sometime between 1408 and 1425).
This icon is actually more properly called the "Hospitality of Abraham" (see Genesis 18:1-15). The appearance of the three angels toAbraham at the Oak of Mamre was a type of the Holy Trinity, not an appearance of the Holy Trinity itself.[citation needed] This type goes back to Early Christian art and has remained the most common Orthodox depiction of the Trinity.
