Silence

1.   Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2.   Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.

Praise and Thanksgiving

1.   Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
3.   Open your heart to praise the Lord

15 My heart is steadfast, O God!
I will sing and make melody with all my being!
Awake, O harp and lyre!
    I will awake the dawn!

         Psalm 108:1-2

Confession and Repentance

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:

“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

The Word (Joshua 4:1-14)

English(ESV): https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Joshua 4&version=ESV

The Lord said to Joshua, “Today I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with you.      Joshua 3:7

11 And when all the people had finished passing over, the ark of the Lord and the priests passed over before the people. 12 The sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh passed over armed before the people of Israel, as Moses had told them. 13 About 40,000 ready for war passed over before the Lord for battle, to the plains of Jericho. 14 On that day the Lord exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel, and they stood in awe of him just as they had stood in awe of Moses, all the days of his life.      Joshua 4:11-14

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

My Listening
Do you know what is that word "today" or "on that day" means to Joshua? That's the day when God act and everybody knows. But, how much courage and faith does Joshua need to have that day to become a reality? How much trust the Israelites need to have on Joshua in order that day can be a reality?

Your willingness to trust your leaders just like the Israelites trust Joshua is the key for you to see God act. Do you agree?

Can you start to pray for your leaders daily as the first thing to develop this kind of trust?

If you are a leader, you need to take risk as what Moses and Joshua did. Risk taking is really not easy because discernment is not easy. Even if you have clear and accurate discernment, your having enough courage to take big risk is another matter.

So, you need lots of people to pray for you so that you can be a faithful, humble, anointed and powerful leader! What is your next step towards this direction?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to trust our leaders so that we can see you act. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Reflect on these questions:
1. How can you trust your leaders more so that you can see God act?

2. How can you start to pray for your leaders daily so that they have more protection in the spiritual realm and you can trust them more?

3. What have you got from Jesus today?
