2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:

“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

The Word, Time with Abba (Psalm 90:1-10; Esther 8:1-10:3; 1 Corinthians 12:27-13:13, Proverbs 21:23-24)

Today's main passages:
20 Mordecai recorded these events, and he sent letters to all the Jews throughout the provinces of King Xerxes, near and far, 21 to have them celebrate annually the fourteenth and fifteenth days of the month of Adar 22 as the time when the Jews got relief from their enemies, and as the month when their sorrow was turned into joy and their mourning into a day of celebration. He wrote them to observe the days as days of feasting and joy and giving presents of food to one another and gifts to the poor.
  Esther 9:20-22

29 So Queen Esther, daughter of Abihail, along with Mordecai the Jew, wrote with full authority to confirm this second letter concerning Purim. 30 And Mordecai sent letters to all the Jews in the 127 provinces of Xerxes’ kingdom—words of goodwill and assurance— 31 to establish these days of Purim at their designated times, as Mordecai the Jew and Queen Esther had decreed for them, and as they had established for themselves and their descendants in regard to their times of fasting and lamentation.32 Esther’s decree confirmed these regulations about Purim, and it was written down in the records.   Esther 9:29-32

And yet I will show you the most excellent way.
13 If I speak in the tongues[b] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[c] but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.    1 Corinthians 12:31-13:8

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passages we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him.

My Listening
Today's two passages give us a way to win over Satan's plan to tear off relationship of families, friendship, churches, societies and countries:
1. Love is the only way to win over Satan's plan to tear off relationships
    (1 Corinthians 12:31-13:8)
When the attitudes and manners of 1 Corinthians 12:4-8 being changed to its opposite, then we should know that Satan's has successfully torn off relationships step by step!

But, in that situation we are unable to love, because we might have been changed by Satan to become another devil. Do you know that Satan has several names, he is the Accuser, Anger Bringer, Relationship Breaker, Destroyer!

Take a look at Hong Kong recently we should know how seriously the situation has become. Many people cannot control themselves to be an instrument to work for Satan to destroy Hong Kong!

2. Fasting and lamentation is the most effective way to turn sorrow into joy, mourning into a day of celebration (Esther 9:20-22, 29-32)
The past two days I have received a lot of responses to join in our three days Esther Fasting. And I know that some friends already received this call last week and completed the fasting! Praise the Lord!
So, this call is not only my call, but a call to many Christians. The question is that whether you are willing to join so that you can exercise the power of love to fast and lament, turning sorrow into joy, mourning into celebration!

I would like to remind you unless you are being called by Jesus personally to fast without water, you need to drink water during that three days of fasting. You can even drink milk, chocolate milk or juice.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Call more of your people to fast and pray for Hong Kong that we will experience how you are going to establish your city, Hong Kong. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Reflect on these questions:
1. What kind of inspiration and invitation have you received from today's message ?

2. What is your next step to fast and pray for Hong Kong like what Hezekiah and Esther did?
